Condition of room/disappointing front office staff.
The condition of the room is very bad.its smell stings.the toilet door is faulty.the condition of the is old need repairs.the front office staff wouldn't answer any call whe we need them.upon check out there hardly any staff at the counter.we have to press the bells a few times.some tourist were also waiting for the front office waiting to check out.some juz simply left keys and leave.taxi service also very pòor at hotel esp early in the morning.hope the mgmt will look into this matters

The only bad thing is, you need to pay for the wifi which is not considered cheap(RM25/day)

Disappointed
Got the renovated room but to my despair, room is dirty. Strands of hair on the floor and on the bedsheet, torned duvet, stenched pillows, no face/hand towels, stained drinking mugs, dirty balcony, carpet not vacumned throughout my stay. Room service menu and food quality is bad. Street hawkers can taste better! Resorts World Langkawi, u can do better than this!

So much potential but needs a lot of work
The concept of the refurbished room is great but finishing is poor ie paint job is uneven, lights not all functioning, floor unevenly tiled, small crack in the wall. There was dust at the back edges of the sofabed and the floor didn't feel all that clean. The bed itself was comfy, shower and bathroom ok. The sea view is to die for, definitely its plus point. Breakfast was quite nice, fairly good selection. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. However the rest of the hotel needs major refurbishing, from lifts (non functioning), the corridors to the pool fixtures, the general maintenance of the gardens and grounds. Note that so far only blocks 3,4 and 5 have been refurbished. Maybe my expectations are too high since Langkawi hotel prices seem inflated... but from my experience from hotels at this price range, I would expect a lot more.

Value for money only
Resorts World is value for money and don't expect anything more than that. There's no free wifi and you have to pay for it. Location is quite inaccessible unless you are driving though they provide shuttle bus service to one of the mall. The hotel itself looks pretty old from the outside but the interior is acceptable for the price. Toilet is small and there were some flies and spiders spotted inside. There were spider webs on the wardrobe too.

Good value for money - if you have a car
Langkawi has so much to do, you don't need to stay all day in your hotel. This is a nice, quiet clean place to come back to at the end of the day. No beach but Cenang is a short car drive away. Beautiful balcony views - good staff
